Sri Lankan parliament speaker lands in Tehran to attend presidential inauguration

TEHRAN – Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena, the speaker of Sri Lanka's parliament, arrived at Tehran's Imam Khomeini International Airport on Monday to attend the presidential inauguration ceremony which is set to occur on Tuesday afternoon at the Iranian parliament.

Upon his arrival, the high-ranking Sri Lankan official was welcomed by Alaeddin Boroujerdi, a member of the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of the Iranian parliament.
